ME/CFS and Long COVID cannot be diagnosed with routine testing. However, scientists have known for decades that there are physical differences between healthy people and people with ME/CFS.

 

Similar abnormalities have now been found in people with Long COVID. Additionally, new abnormalities are being discovered as researchers continue to study Long COVID and ME/CFS.
