
Long Covid

Long COVID is an illness that is caused by COVID and lasts at least 3 months, and will likely be lifelong for many people without treatment. People who have severe symptoms while they are first sick with COVID can develop Long COVID, and so can people who have mild initial illness. It is not known why some people fully recover from COVID and others go on to develop Long COVID. Anyone can get Long COVID, including children.
